Tour Plan

Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Your adventure begins in Tangier, where you’ll meet your driver and journey south through Tetouan, a charming city known for its Andalusian flair and whitewashed architecture. Continue through the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, the “Blue Pearl of Morocco.” Explore its blue-painted alleys, relax at Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and enjoy mint tea in a traditional riad where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Exploring Chefchaouen

Spend a full day uncovering the serene beauty of Chefchaouen. Wander through its narrow streets, filled with artisan shops and colorful doors, and learn about its fascinating history dating back to 1471. Visit the peaceful Ras El Ma spring, where locals wash their clothes and carpets. Capture stunning photos of this fairytale-like town before returning to your riad for the evening.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, travel south through rolling hills and farmlands to Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman archaeological site. Explore its grand mosaics and ancient columns before continuing to Meknes, the former imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Admire the majestic Bab Mansour Gate and El Hedim Square before heading to Fes for dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional riad.

Day 4: Fes Guided City Tour

Today is devoted to exploring Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Visit the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the world’s oldest, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the vibrant Chouara Tannery. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of the old medina, filled with traditional workshops and souks. After lunch in a local restaurant, drive to the Merenid Tombs for panoramic views of the city. Overnight in Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, leave Fes and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and in Azrou to see the cedar forest and its friendly Barbary monkeys. Continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley, with its palm groves and kasbahs, before reaching Erfoud and Rissani. By evening, arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll enjoy dinner, music, and a peaceful night in a desert hotel at the edge of the dunes.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga for breakfast. Depart toward the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon carved by the Todra River — perfect for walking and photography. Continue through Tinghir, Dades Valley, and on to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
