Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
Your journey begins at 8:00 AM with pickup from your hotel in Marrakech. Travel through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber villages.
Stop to explore Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah famous for its role in many Hollywood films. Afterward, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Enjoy a delicious local dinner and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Alnif – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, head south through the stunning Draa Valley, following Morocco’s longest river. Stop in Alnif for lunch before continuing toward the Sahara.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, your camels await to take you on a two-hour trek across the golden dunes. Arrive at your Berber desert camp in time for a magical sunset, followed by dinner, Berber music, and an overnight stay under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake early to witness a breathtaking desert sunrise. After breakfast, travel to Rissani, known for its lively traditional souk (open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). Continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and marble crafts.
Your journey proceeds through the impressive Todgha Gorge, often compared to the Grand Canyon of Morocco. Enjoy free time for lunch and a short walk before heading to Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a charming guesthouse or riad.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Marrakech
After breakfast, explore the beauty of the Dades Valley before driving through the fragrant Rose Valley and the palm groves of Skoura. Follow the legendary “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” toward Ouarzazate, where you can visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Cinema Museum.
After lunch, journey back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening and dropping off at your hotel.
