Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Depart from Marrakech at 8:00 AM and begin your adventure through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m). Enjoy stunning mountain views and traditional Berber villages along the way.
Visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film location, before continuing to Ouarzazate for lunch. Then drive through Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, arriving in Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay in a charming guesthouse.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel through the Dades Canyon toward the impressive Todgha Gorge, known for its towering rock walls and lush palm oasis. Enjoy a walk through the gorge before continuing to the desert town of Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek across the golden sands, stopping to witness a breathtaking sunset over the dunes.
Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, rhythmic drum music, and a peaceful night under the starry Sahara sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Anti-Atlas – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the desert, a truly magical sight. After breakfast, ride your camel or 4x4 back to Merzouga village to meet your driver.
Begin your return journey through the Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river and countless ancient kasbahs. Stop for photos in Tamnougalt Kasbah, then cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward Ouarzazate.
Arrive back in Marrakech by early evening, marking the end of an unforgettable desert adventure.
